The PPA Tour has wrapped up, and the next chapter of improvements at Pickleball Virginia Beach is underway! Here’s what’s happening and what you can look forward to.
🏆 A New Championship Court
The center courts have been cleared, and we’re waiting for the crew to return to paint the new layout:
-
One championship court
-
Four additional courts behind it
Once painting is complete, we’ll begin assembling a championship court setup similar to what the PPA installed. Some tournament structures remain as we work through this transition, and we appreciate your patience!
🏓 Where to Find Challenge Play
Challenge Courts are currently located on Courts 27–30. We’ll expand challenge play to additional courts as soon as we can.
Please review the court information and diagram below. Scheduled activities may overlap with designated play areas, so availability will vary by day and time.
☀️ South Court Cover: In the Home Stretch!
Our permits are in hand! Before construction can begin, we’re still waiting for the City to confirm its schedule for the portions of the project it needs to complete.
It’s been a long process, but we’re in the home stretch—and there’s more to look forward to than the cover alone!
The planned South Court redesign will include:
-
Easier court access, without walking through other courts.
-
Places to gather and relax between games.
-
An improved layout for a more enjoyable experience on and off the courts.
We’re excited to share these improvements with our members and visiting players as the project takes shape! 💙💛
🔜 More Improvements Ahead
Longer term, we’ll be reconfiguring courts throughout the facility. We’ll share new layouts, court designations, and timelines as details are confirmed.
