About Us

We do pickleball because we were addicted from day one. Jim and Jack started playing and fell in love with the sport. They began to run tournaments simply because no one else was doing it in the area. After a few years of running tournaments and having to fight to get access to courts, they decided to look for a home for their dream of a pickleball complex. The dream of a pickleball only complex has come true at Pickleball Virginia Beach.

Where We Started

Pickleball Virginia Beach started in 2021 at 928 South Birdneck Road with just 7 courts on a converted tennis facility. Co-founded by Jim and Jack, it has since grown into a massive 14-acre outdoor complex featuring 44 courts, with plans to expand.

Inception (2021): Started as a small local setup with 7 converted tennis courts.

Expansion: Expanded into a 1,000-member club hosting major events like the PPA Tour.

Our 44 courts are thoughtfully scheduled to balance:

In-house leagues for all skill levels
Professional lessons and clinics
Amateur and professional tournaments hosted throughout the year

Where We're Going

We're transforming our South Courts to create one of the premier outdoor pickleball experiences in the country.

Our renovation includes a full overhead cover to provide protection from both sun and rain, allowing for more comfortable play in a wider range of conditions. Large overhead fans will improve airflow and help keep players cool, while new 6-foot walkways will provide convenient access throughout the South Courts.

We're also increasing the space behind each baseline to a full 10 feet, giving players more room to serve, move, and chase down shots without feeling constrained.

Every enhancement has been designed with one goal in mind: creating a better playing experience. More comfort. More space. Better access. More time on the courts.
