Paddle Raffle
Three different raffles! Best daily costume raffle prizes, Players raffle & Hanover Cat Rescue raffle.
1) - Each day we will pick the best costumes, and the winners will randomly choose from the prize box.
2) - As we have done in the past, each player gets two raffle tickets for registering and then an additional ticket for each match won. The prizes are listed below.
3) - Bring a good usable paddle to donate to the Hanover Cat Rescue and receive 6 raffle tickets to their special list of pickleball prizes. List will be displayed prior to the event.
Below is a partial list of the raffle prizes for 2026. All winners have 30 days to contact us with your complete mailing address to jack@vapickleball.com. After 30 days a new winner will randomly be selected from all of the raffle tickets. All local winners in the Richmond area will be asked to pick up at Pouncey Tract and all Virginia Beach area winners will pick up at Pickleball Virginia Beach. All others will be mailed to the address provided.
You get 2 raffle tickets for registering and one for each match won. The exact paddle models will be listed soon.

General Information
Location: 4747 Pouncey Tract Road, Glen Allen, Virginia, 23059
Parking: While there is plenty of parking, overflow on Friday is at the soccer complex and during the weekend it will be at Short Pump Middle School. Parking is free.
Tournament Sanctioning: USAP
Per the USAPA website: Yes! The Challenger tier now includes eligibility for all sanctioned tournaments, including Golden Ticket events and Nationals — and the cost has been reduced to just $12/year to make it more accessible.

Navigate to "Individual Membership"
Click the three dots next to your membership
Cancel auto-renewal
Click on your membership again
Select "Renew"
Follow the prompts to checkout
Tournament Rating System: Dupr - Scores will be updated live.
Swag Bag: Free items will be offered for the first 500 registered players.
Tournament Format: This tournament will be double elimination, 2 out of 3 to 11, win by 2 in the winner's bracket.
Losers Bracket / Opportunity Bracket is one game to 15 win by 2. Keep winning or this event is over.... Losers bracket can win all the way back to the Gold!
Some brackets may be merged due to size. We will merge by skill level first, then age at last resort. Smaller brackets may be moved to a round robin. The tournament briefing will notify you should that change be made along with the scoring changes if any.
Changes may be made as necessary to any/all brackets at the discretion of the tournament director up to the start of play of each bracket.
Ball Used: The new JOOLA ball to be released in October. If it does not arrive on time, we will use the Franklin X-40.
Number of Courts: 24 dedicated pickleball courts
Open Division Prize Money: To start we are offering $1,000 in prize money for each bracket. The breakdown is listed below. There will be a minimum number required for each OPEN bracket of 10 teams. If we don't reach the 10 teams you will be offered to move to the regular tournament and refunded the difference or a full refund of that event. If it is your only event, then a full refund of all fees, less the registration cost from pickleball brackets of $5-$10. Last year we hit $40,000 in prize money!
Each division breakdown of dollars will be awarded as follows:
Gold = 50%
Silver = 30%
Bronze = 20%
Last year (2025) we ended up with the following prize monies! The more players that sign up for Open, the more we pay! 100% of the event fees go towards the prize money in the pool!

Refund Policy: While there are no refunds, we do offer a full credit to a future tournament that we run, less a $15 service charge.
Inclement Weather Policy: This is an outdoor tournament. If weather is a factor, we will do all we can to play all matches. There are no refunds. We will offer a makeup day if possible or offer an event credit for that specific event. If this is your only event, then you will receive a credit for the entire event less the $15 cost of the swag bag whether you choose to receive it or not. There are no indoor backup plans for this tournament.
